I’m sure I’m not the only one who looks around at the holidays and thinks: We just don’t need all of this. Even after all my years of minimizing, the commercialism of the holidays often stymies me and I find myself struggling to buy meaningful gifts for loved ones.
Perhaps you can relate. And perhaps you even have someone in your life who has a little too much of everything and the thought of buying them more stuff creates anxiety for you and—likely—them, too.
Here’s an idea…
This holiday season, give the gift of less.
I’m excited to announce that—for the first time in years—I’m offering in-home decluttering sessions.
I never thought I’d go back to helping folks declutter in person, but life is surprising. After running my campaign this past year, I’m in a place where I feel called to work with people in a more personal one-on-one way.
I know how powerful it is to have someone show up on your doorstep, ready to help you tackle a cluttered space that’s caused you anxiety and shame for years. I know how life-changing it is to turn a space like that into a place where you can breathe and relax.
Just check out this bedroom I decluttered last week with a client:
You might have a few questions…
I’d love to do this, but I feel embarrassed… Will you judge me?
No. My job is to help you, not judge you. In the years I’ve done this work, I’ve seen every cluttered space you can imagine. I see clutter as an interesting problem to solve and my goal is to help you solve it.
What types of spaces can you help with?
I can help you declutter any space in your home or office, such as:
- Bathroom
- Kitchen
- Bedroom
- Living room
- Entryway
- Kids’ rooms
- Storage areas
- Memorabilia
- Office (including paper and/or email)
How long does decluttering take?
That depends on how much stuff you have and how quickly you can make decisions about it. The photos of the above room took about 11 hours.
Will you travel outside of Dayton?
Yes, although there will be a travel cost.
Speaking of… How much does this cost?
My fee is $80/hour with a 3-hour minimum.
How can I get a gift certificate?
Just email me at [email protected]. If you’d like the gift certificate in time for Christmas, please contact me no later than Friday, December 20.
What if I want to book a session but not as a gift?
We can do that. Again, just email me at [email protected] and we’ll work out the details.
I’m really excited to return to my decluttering roots and offer this type of service again. I’m not sure how long I’ll be offering it, so if you—or someone you love—would like to declutter side-by-side with me, I’d recommend contacting me sooner than later.
Much love to you and yours this holiday season…
